We wanted a room that feels calm at 7am and still feels calm at the busiest hour of a Saturday. That meant fewer things, better light and nowhere for noise to bounce.
Light first
The whole room is built around one skylight. Oak, plaster and soft grey keep it bright without glare, and the window seats are the first to go every morning.
